Halkidiki

Halkidiki (sometimes spelt Chalkidiki or Chalcidice) is a peninsula of mainland Greece just south of the city of Thessaloniki, jutting out into the Aegean Sea like a three-fingered hand. It consists of three main areas, Sithonia, Agion Oros (which includes the legendary Mount Athos) and Kassandra (formerly Pallene).

For your holidays, Halkidiki offers white sandy beaches, lush pine forests, mysterious monasteries, good hotels of all standards, and cheap airline tickets. Whilst it shares some attractions with the Greek islands, most notably its fabulous beaches and weather, Halkidiki is noted for being a nature-lover's paradise.
