All Inclusive Holidays Abu Simbel

For cheap holidays to Abu Simbel and other areas of Egypt, taking a cheap hotel option is the best idea. All inclusive holidays are big business in Egypt and a definite firm favourite with the Brits holidaying there. Abu Simbel is one of Egypt´s UNESCO World Heritage sites, located in Southern Egypt on the Western bank of Lake Nasser. The area of Abu Simbel is in fact the home of the famous Nubian Monuments and a great cheap holiday break from the norm. Holidays to Abu Simbel taken on an all inclusive basis will general be of a short duration and initially taken to visit the outstanding temples of the area. The temples were first built way back in the year 24, although not re–discovered until 1813 by J.R Burckhardt. The famous temples would have taken about 20 years to build and were as popular to visit by the Victorians as they are today! Built by Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century BC. The monuments are probably as equally well known for their massive relocation in the 1960s. Being fascinators themselves as well as having a unique history, its no wonder than tourists are regular visitos to the region. After the Aswan low dam almost overflowed in the 1940s it was decided to build a new dam rather than raise the old one for a third time. The new Aswan high dam was located 6km up stream. The dams stunning reservoir, Lake Nasser caused concern for 24 historical monuments. It was decided in 1964 to move them all to safer locations. Many were giving to countries that helped out with the project. The Nubian monuments were moved 60m higher and 200m away from the river. The entire monument was cut into blocks and then rebuilt! They are set in exactly the same positions to each other and the sun. There is now an exhibition of this major move in the man–made dome of the temples. All inclusive hotels in the area all boast the usual low Egyptian price tags and the same world class facilities you would expect. Enjoying holiday fun all "under one roof" often gives young families more freedom than they would have on a self catering holiday, allowing children to play "grown ups" and adults to have plenty of free time to. Boasting superb accommodation, awesome outdoor pools, sports centres, spas, water sports and great dry land sports options too! Daytime and evening activities will always be on offer as well, whether its pool games during the day or the ever entertaining hotel cabarets in the evening. Children´s clubs and activity leaders are also located at most big hotels. All inclusive holidays really can be enjoyed by all the family. For hot, hot summer getaways, Abu Simbel won´t fail to disappoint, it even exceeds expectations over the dreary British winter months. All inclusive holidays and cheap hotel getaways to the Abu Simbel light festivals, October this year and February next year are all worth a look into. These dates fall on Ramesees´ rise to the throne and his birthday. Before sunrise, people pack into the temple. They are witnesses to the stone capturing the shards of light and illuminating the inner sanctum of the monument! Definitely one of the most spectacular sights in the world. One night getaways are really popular to Abu Simbel from holidays at other Egyptian hotspots.
