Disneyland holidays are often a once in a lifetime experience to us Brits, if taking on numerous occasions they still remain uber special, and are definitely justified of leaving memories.
Located in California, holidays to Disneyland are often missed for the closer option of Disney World Resort in Florida! The Disneyland Park is the second most visited park in the world, after its sister park - The Magic Kingdom in Disney World Florida. Walt Disney came up with the idea of the first Disney theme park whilst at a small fun fair with his two children. He envisaged a park where adults and children could enjoy magical fun together. Disney Fans were already contacting Walt Disney for invites to the Walt Disney Studios, so with the Californian weather on his side, the legend thought it best to create a more practical Disney Movie Studio, incorporating the ideas of fair grounds to…And so Walt's, Mickey Mouse Park was created. After a successful 35 years, the Disneyland Park expanded into a resort, expanding out with a second theme park - Disney's California Adventure as well as the new entertainment strip, Down Town Disney, a remodeled Disneyland Hotel and the Pan Pacific Hotel AKA Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. The original Disneyland Park has also undergone changes, the original "lands" of the park are Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, the additionally added lands are those of Holidayland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country and Mickey's Toontown. There are 59 attractions in this park, and more shows than you could shake a stick at! Enjoying 29 dining establishments, you really wont go hungry and have plenty of chances to meet Disney Characters too! The second park of the Disneyland Resort in California is the States namesake - Disney's California Adventure Park. Which really captures the gems of the golden state, with the added excitement of Disney magic to! High School Musical is very much at home here as is the thrilling world renowned Tower of Terrors! Not to mention Play House Disney live on stage and the Aladin Spectacular. For those after rides, this park has 31 of them! California Screamin and the Mailboomer are great. For those seeking something more on the tame side It's tough to be a bug is brilliant! The Downtown Disney District here is a great place to grab some unique Disney goods as well as relax in some of the states favourite eateries and bars! The Disney hotels of Disneyland are a great place to base yourself, check out the Disneyland Hotel for something really special.
