Easter Holidays
Easter 2009 falls on the 12th April. This Spring time holiday traditionally allows for school children to have 2 weeks off, making this an ideal time for families and young people to take a holiday, At the beginning of the European summer season as well it means the beach resorts warm up nicely, yet without the peak summer crowds they offer a more peaceful get away! Resorts in Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Spain are an array of flora and fauna as well as having just opened after a winter revamp! With guaranteed warm weather and the delicate spring aromas its no wonder that a break over Easter is so popular. With the lack of crowds hotels feel empty, much more exclusive and the beaches are never too crowded.
If you are an an active traveller then April and the Easter holidays are one of the best times to take a holiday. As the temperatures are slightly cooler hiking, walking, rafting, climbing, horse riding and other sports are easier! With less people in the areas to you get a much better feeling of remoteness and freedom too. They are generally slightly cooler than in mid summer and not in their rainy season as they would be in August. Holidays to Florida at Easter are great as the queues for rides are shorter too and there is no risk of theme parks closing due to thunder storms. With temperatures in Florida and the Caribbean rising to about 30 degrees Celsius a sun tan is a given as well as ultimate RnR. Weddings abroad are very popular during the spring time and many people chose to have theirs in the Caribbean, Mexico and Cyprus at these times.
City breaks are also at their best, you can avoid the business of the summer boom yet all the attractions are open and in full swing due to the warn weather. New York, Paris and Stockholm are ideal at this time of year. With the bitter cold winters passed continental European cities like Moscow, St Petersburg, Munich, Berlin and Prague are also great! Wandering through their cobbled old streets, shopping for bargains and quirky gifs. Enjoying al fresco dining and tasty meals!
Other popular holidays during the Easter holidays are Ski trips and winter sports. As Europe and North America end their season prices drop and the weather becomes very warm.
