Egyptian Pyramids

The Egyptian Pyramids are probably the most famous pyramids in the world. Even though many ancient cultures across the planet have their own extravagant burial tombs as well. Those of Greece and Asia are also of valuable significance to the ancient worlds. Pyramids are generally a triangular object built on a square or triangular base. Most have three or four sides. The most famous pyramids in Egypt are probably those in Giza, with the Sphinx lying just metres away too. The Pyramids of Giza were built thousands of years ago, often thought by the Jews who were slaves to the Egyptians. Others believe that skilled workers were hired. Many of the pyramids have undertaken a revamp to preserve them. The three great pyramids of Giza are popularly known as the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Queen Pyramid. The Sphinx was in fact built to guard the Pyramids! The Sphinx even has a few stories of its own. This half human, half lion structure is one of the most visited and loved statues in the world!
