February Holidays

February is one of the most favoured months of year to take a holiday before summer sets in. With Valentines Day falling on the 14th and the February half term school holidays generally falling at the end. More and more people are taking different types of holidays too. Winter sports holidays are getting cheaper and cheaper every year and the idea of visiting one of the many European cities is also at the top of the boards. Winter warmers are by far the most popular however, after almost six months of ridiculous weather its time to head to the beaches. For families a trip over to the American state of Florida is always popular. With half the numbers of Easter and the very busy summer months, queues are short and fitting in everything you want is entirely possible. Why not swim with Dolphins at Discovery Cove, visit Disneyland or the Nasa Space Centre. The Canary Islands are great for a quick fix sun shine break. Enjoying year round sun shine and peaceful settings. At only 4 hours away from the UK as well a half term break is ideal.

The busiest week of the winter season is February half term. With plenty of events held for the occasion in France, Italy, Switzerland and Austria they are definitely the most entertaining time to go. The French resorts of Val D´isere and Meribel are two of the most popular, with the big ski areas of Espace Killy and La Trois Valais attracting thousands year after year. As well as the hip nightlife and excellent cuisines. Or why not try the lesser visited ski resorts in Croatia and Slovenia boast emptier pistes and much shorter lift queues, allowing for much more time on the slopes. For the more that want to stay at Sea level diving holidays to Kenya and the Red Sea Rivera´s are great. Warm climates for suntan top ups as well as fascinating cultures to explore! Cyprus is a great place for golfing and sports holidays, the perfect peaceful getaway this February.

Valentines day creates a mini boom this time of year for Romantic getaways as well. City breaks have always been popular for a quick weekend away to the ever romantic Paris, the beautiful Italian cities of Venice and Rome. The Scandinavian cities are also a great Romantic get away. Cuddling up in the cold, taking in some of the most dynamic architectures as well as the friendliest of nations! Romantic breaks to the Tuscan region of Italy is great, long strolls in the countryside, visiting vineyards and sharing huge plates of spaghetti in the elegant al fresco restaurants. Or maybe the ultimate of RnR to a tropical location like the exotic islands of the Caribbean tickles your fancy. Double sun beds and sultry landscapes to keep you occupied. The Seychelles and the Maldives are also great getaway breaks too. Cruises are popular all year round, a very practical way to take in the many sites of a particular region! Mediterranean cruises, Caribbean cruises and the wonderful cruise over to New York are the absolute ideal when it comes to a romantic getaway. Take in the sites of the ultimate city at the other end as well. Taking the special Valentines Day tour up to the top of the Empire State Building for awesome views is a must with a loved one.
