June Holidays
Holidays abroad in June are, and have always been very popular. Enjoying soaring temperatures and guaranteed sunshine. Resorts are probably in their lively stages ready for the peak season boom. Enjoying lower prices than the school summer holiday weeks but with all the same benefits and opportunities. Most of the European holiday hotspots in Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey will be the lively party towns and sun lover havens they are famed for. Ibiza, Cyprus and the Greek Islands will be opening up their infamous bar strips for the summer. Take to the beaches of the Spanish Costas, Kos, Zante, Bodrum... the list goes on. Enjoy the beautiful sun shine by day and the vibrant parties by night. Warm evening´s means Al fresco dining and open air nightclubs are all the rage. Strolling along the beaches and through the old towns make for a great holiday with your partner.
Beaches are verging on becoming over crowded. For great value for money it is best to head further afield. The Caribbean is in its hottest few months, with temperatures soaring at about 33 degrees Celsius. However with the daily interruption of rain some people choose not to come here, meaning less people and more secluded beaches. Being out of the school holiday as well means that there will be less children around! Malta, Corsica and Sardinia are great this time of year for warm weather but less busy than Spain and Cyprus. With great areas for sightseeing, walking and diving, these islands are great for a "grown up" holiday. For nightlife and lively holiday, head to Greece and Cyprus, Ayia Napa is a show stopper whist Laganas is great value. Dubai and the Red Sea areas are cheaper than during the winter months, at very hot temperatures you are guaranteed a sun tan. Dubai boasts some of the best shopping in the world, with great beaches to, Dubai is a wondrous city and home to some of the best hotels on the planet, great for a good old snoop.
A family trip to the Balearic Islands is lovely this time of year. Formentera is the ultimate for sunbathing and having the joy of doing nothing! With great snorkelling opportunities to, definitely the best kept secret in the Med... Majorca and Menorca are the absolute for being family friendly. The Canaries are always popular, the ideal for a sun fix after the long British winter. For city breaks the northern European cities are great. Enjoying summers of their own sightseeing can be great fun. For a holiday closer to home a trip to Edinburgh is great, with the lengthy Edinburgh Festival that shouldn´t be missed. The Nordic cities of Oslo and Stockholm are welcoming visitors, With their own dynamic history and hidden streets to be explored! Portugal is thriving this time of year, Lisbon is a wonderful city, the Algarve region is also a must for sun lovers. If you´re looking for something different take a cycling trip to Holland and enjoy the vibrance of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
