Spring Holidays
At the end of March in the Northern Hemisphere Spring begins. As British winter seems to be still in full swing it´s an ideal time to take a holiday. Warmer climates are the ideal destinations and a welcoming winter warmer. Holidays to the Caribbean, Florida and Mexico are the ideal. At cheaper price tags than they would be in the peak season summer months, a welcome break from the cold and rain and filled with plenty of delights of their own. With smaller queues in the Orlando theme parks, emptier beaches and a much more peaceful atmosphere they make for great family holiday destinations and breaks away with friends.
Diving holidays in Egypt, Israel and the North African shores of Tunisia and Morocco boast great value, sun kissed beaches, lively cities and hot, hot climates. With some of the worlds most famous landmarks like the Pyramids and the Sphinx in Egypt too. For those not interested in moving, the beaches are unbeatable and ideal for lying on all day with a great book! With the temperatures warming up nicely in Western Europe walking and sightseeing holidays are very pleasant. Majorca, Andalucia and Corsica are some of the best. With beautiful landscapes and plenty to see and do. Organized walking holidays are also available. Cyprus and Turkey are great for beach holidays, with the feeling of exclusivity, soaring temperatures and great ancient ruins. Italy is at its best at this time of year, before the crowds set in; a short break to one of the countries many cities or the exclusive beach resorts of Naples and Capri have got to be had. And with plenty of Italian shopping and sightseeing to really pull at those heart strings too. The beaches and towns of Croatia offer beautiful outdoor restaurants, stunning beaches and above all great value for money. The cities to be seen in next year are definitely Split and Dubrovnik.
City breaks are without a doubt the best in spring. Most cities are waking up after the winter and welcoming the tourists. With the ice melting in the Nordic cities of Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki they are truly beautiful. The new found gems of Europe´s East also become alive with things to do in the Spring. Check out Warsaw, Riga and Tallinn for fun filled weekends away. New York is another firm favourite, cheaper than at Christmas as well as very much warmer. Before the dog days of the summer is the best time to go. Huge shops everywhere you look, sightseeing that could keep you busy for years and an endless array of bars and fabulous eateries too!
As the end of the ski season is fast approaching too spring time is the ideal time of year to take a winter sports holiday. With temperatures warming up nicely, the sun shining and still big dumps of snow the holiday maker is laughing. At much better value than peak season Christmas and February half term yet the conditions are just as good. End of season sales and happy hours galore making the resorts livelier than ever. Courcheval and Val D´isere are the top places to be in, in France. St Anton and Kitzbuhel in Austria and well as the Swiss and Canadian favourites too.
