Thomson holidays are part of the UKs biggest holiday tour operator TUI. After their recent merge in 2007 they work together with the equally well known First Choice.
Thomson Holidays began solo in 1965, they quickly acquired Britannia Airways and stayed together for the next 40 years allowing holiday makers the new package holiday experience at great value. With over 65000 hotels on offer and charter flights flying from most regional airports to the top holiday destinations in near–by Europe and far away shores covering virtually the whole planet. After Thompson was brought by TUI in 2004 the company was quickly rebranded with its well known shops Lunn Poly becoming Thomson holidays and the company´s airline Britannia becoming Thomson Fly. In 2009 First Choice Airways and Thomson Fly will both be rebranded to form the united Thomson Airways.
