Vancouver is located just south west of British Columbia. The Western tip of Vancouver is entirely devoted to Stanley Park. This is in fact North America’s largest city park. A lovely day out, the city enjoys very little rainfall and temperatures of about 23 degrees Celsius in the high summer months and about 5 degrees in the winter. The Aquarium in the centre of the park is great, even housing Whales and Dolphins! However just off the coast in the waters of the English Bay Whales can be seen in the wild too! The park also has a farm for children, a miniature rail way and even a pitch and putt green.

With a great theatre culture and the fabulous Museum of Anthrapology you’re not going to get board easily. With the Vancouver symphony orchestra and an array of Broadway musicals on offer. The Bloedel Floral Conservatory is the home of hundreds of the world birds, all free flying and a great day out. Dr Sun Yat Sens Chinese garden, the only of its kind is very exciting.
Shopping in Canada has definitely got to be had. You get even more for your pound in Canada that you do in the United States. Hit the famous Granville Robson Streets in the downtown districts or the buzzing Yaletown. Also the liveliest districts with great restaurants, home to China Town, the French bakeries and offering other international delicacies, Vancouver is a gourmet wonder. There is also a very strong Spanish influence – the people who founded the city and of course Vancouver’s famous Salmon. Take the Skytrain and the cities ferries to get around – cheaper than a rental car and very green and easy!
