The Basilica of St Nicholas is a well worth a visit. This is the first and the best of the many Norman churches in the region. The huge Swabian castle is also fascinating! There are also numerous galleries in the city, the Museo Jatta di Ruvo is one of the best. The gardens of the museum are also a lovely place to relax. You can also take a short bus ride to the cities nearest beach, get some serious RnR on the sun drenched Adriatic Coast.

The boulevard Corso Vittorio Emanuele separates the old town and the new town. It is home to the famous Piccinni Theatre. This is a great place to take an evening stroll, this city is ideal to be explored on foot, with a simple street grid system, large avenues and lavish piazzas.
