Aldemar Amilia Mare
Aldemar Amilia Mare
Experience Rhodes from its sunny side and make a splash in the Aegean Sea, through a stay at the amazing all-inclusive Aldemar Amilia Mare. Located just south of Rhodes Town, this scenic 5-star resort offers direct access to the beach and the clear blue water, while also playing host to a wide range of facilities and activities, such as a large outdoor pool with waterslide, tennis court, spa centre with Jacuzzi and sauna, and even a nightclub and hair salon. Kids have their own designated pool and club, while the animation team ensures plenty of entertainment throughout the day for guests of all ages. With the all-inclusive concept you can dine and snack whenever you feel like it, and with three different restaurants offering both local and French and Italian food as well as five different bars you will have plenty of tasty treats to choose from. Spend the day at your leisure either at the hotel or exploring the rest of the island. Rhodes Town is located just a few minutes’ away by car and the ancient site of Lindos can be found a good hour away if you head in the other direction.
The largest and arguably most historically powerful of the Dodecanese Islands, Rhodes has firmly anchored itself in the Aegean Sea with a strong sense of self and with a multitude of experiences to offer. A welcoming harbour in the Mediterranean, Rhodes Town rises gently above the azure-blue sea. Here holidaymakers can walk through the narrow streets of the beautifully preserved, UNESCO Heritage-listed Old Town, where only the local tourist shops remind you that you’ve not actually travelled back to the Middle Ages. Stroll along the old walls of the city, visit the castle in the Old Town and marvel at the Palace of the Knights, which was built by crusaders in the 14th century. If you’re still hungry for historical things, then feast your interest on the nearby Archaeological Museum of Rhodes. If the midday sun starts to really take its toll, retreat to one of the cafés or tavernas for a light lunch, or kick back and relax along one of the many beaches that surround the oval island. If the eastern coast of Rhodes, full of charming little towns isn’t quite enough, check out the landscape of the west coast which is more rugged and mountainous.
