Hotel Cap Negret
Hotel Cap Negret
Nestled between the azure Mediterranean Sea and the rugged peaks that rise behind the Costa Blanca, the Hotel Cap Negret offers the perfect destination for holidaymakers either seeking to relax completely or explore the surrounding scenery. Perched on the sun-bathed Costa Blanca, just further along the coast from the larger cities of Benidorm and Alicante. The area is great for cycling and hiking, as well as various water sports. If you’re looking for something less adrenaline-fueled, then you can while the days away in the outdoor swimming pool, which features a waterfall and numerous water jets. Younger guests can participate in a number of activities onsite, while grown-ups can enjoy a refreshing drink in the bar, before retiring to the hotel’s own restaurant for the evening meal. The hotel is situated just next to the charming little town of Altea, which is perfect for an evening stroll through its romantic narrow streets as the sun sets on the horizon.
From the dark peaks rising over the town of Denia in the north, to the white beaches stretching as far as the eye can see near the south, Costa Blanca is a destination where the astonishing and the fascinating appear out of nowhere and a dull moment is a concept long forgotten.
The largest city along the coast, Alicante is a modern place with strong historical roots dating back to Roman, Greek and Arab conquests. Towering over the cityscape, the 1,200 year old fortress of Santa Barbara Castle is the perfect place to start your urban exploration. One of the largest medieval castles in Spain, it can be accessed through a winding path that starts at Plaza de Carmen (but don’t worry, there’s also a lift). Relax by the Port of Alicante, visit the Archaeological Museum, or the Museum of Contemporary Art, or alternatively, escape the city for a few hours for a trip to Tabarca – an island that time seems to have forgotten. Costa Blanca is of course about the amazing beaches, the fantastic water and the luxurious resorts. However, a holiday along this coast can very easily be supplemented with the many cultural, historical and alternative delights that exist around every corner here.
