The Oberoi chain of luxury hotels and resorts was originally founded in 1934 when the founder Mohan Singh Oberoi bought two separate hotels in Delhi and Shimla. Today it’s the Oberoi Group is the third-largest hospitality chain in India offering luxurious resorts across a number of destinations in India as well as hotels in Egypt, Mauritius, and Saudi Arabia among other places.
A fluttering farrago of vast cities mixed with peaceful temples, wild nature and jaw-dropping palaces, this is India. Here you’ll be met with areas that for thousands of years have managed to preserve their own identity, while encompassing various outside influences. This delightful blend of the traditional, the unexpected and the new is what makes India astound you and sweep you off your feet. Visit a true wonder of the world, the Taj Mahal, which towers majestically over the river and the surrounding city of Agra. Commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to commemorate the death of his beloved wife, it is probably one of the largest and heaviest love letters in the world.
Experience the pink city of Jaipur, with its colourful buildings and palaces like the impressive Amer Fort and the ‘Palace of the Winds’ – the Hawa Mahal, before heading to the urban infinity that is Delhi. Here you’ll find a million things to do and see. From the imposing India Gate at the centre of Delhi, to the splendour of the Red Fort and the Raj Ghat; through bustling markets and shops along the Chandni Chowk. In India, every region is a microcosm of wonderful things to discover. Take your time to fully savour every stunning view and delight.
“The Oberoi Gurgaon - Absolutely fabulous hotel near Indira Gandhi Airport”
Reviewed 30 November 2016“Over the last 30 years we have stayed in almost all of the 5 star hotels in Delhi, but The Oberoi Gurgaon is definitely our favourite. It is a sprawling modern facility set in beautiful water featured surroundings; a great place to stay, relax and enjoy good food. The staff go beyond the call of duty to make your stay pleasant and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thoroughly recommended if you are visiting Delhi.”

“The Oberoi Amarvilas - The only place to stay in Agra!”
Reviewed 05 December 2016“My wife and I just returned from a trip to Rajasthan. While there we stayed at the Amarvilas. The tone was set as we entered the beautiful hotel and were greeted by the manager, Abishek. He greeted us by name and sincerely wished us a wonderful stay. We were escorted to our fourth floor room with balcony overlooking the beautiful pool and grounds, with the Taj in the background. The next morning we had an early morning visit to the Taj by the hotel's golf cart. We have traveled the world and stayed in many world class properties but must say this is one of the best! Highly recommended!!”
