Concept
The ultimate all inclusive holiday for couples, 24 hour dining,
includes three meals daily plus snacks and wine with lunch and
dinner. Unlimited international premium brand drinks from a
choice of four bars. A variety of land and water sports plus
organised off-property excursions.
Bar services
The Main Bar opens from 10am until 1am. The Piano Bar opens
for cocktails with a pianist playing from 6.30pm and closes
when the last guest leaves. The Bayside Bar is open during dining
hours and the Island Bar is open from 9am to 5pm.
Dining facilities
In addition to the four speciality restaurants and a casual
Beach Grill, Couples offers a 24-hour dining service. Continental
breakfast is offered in the privacy of your own room from 7.30am
until 10am or in the Patio Restaurant until 10.30am with Continental
breakfast until 11am. The Patio Restaurant also offers lavish
lunch buffets and fine dining in the evening. The Veranda is
open for dinner only, serving international cuisine from 7pm
until 9pm. Le Gourmet is open for dinner only by reservation,
offering fine French cuisine and impeccable service. Bayside,
our Italian restaurant, is open for dinner only.
Entertainment
There is nightly entertainment from the resident band and a
variety of local artists, plus a weekly Caribbean Beach party.
Activities
Land sorts and activities include five tennis courts (3 lit
for night play), two air conditioned squash courts (both with
professional instruction) plus lawn croquet, beach volleyball,
giant chess, aerobics, basketball, bicycle tours and art and
craft classes. Horse riding around a plantation and unlimited
golf is offered at the nearby Upton Hills 18-hole golf course
with free transportation and green fees.
Water sports include scuba diving (PADI 5 star facility) with
many dive sites on offer for an interesting underwater adventure,
waterskiing, hobie cats, sailing, snorkelling, windsurfing,
kayaks and glass bottom boat trips. All include professional
instruction.
In addition to the above facilities there is an indoor games
room with board games, pool, table tennis plus a separate large
screen television area. An air conditioned Fitness Centre is
situated on the beach and is fully equipped with ten station
Nautilus free weights and Lifecycle, Stairmaster equipment and
a separate aerobics desk. There is a sauna attached to the Fitness
Centre. There are three Jacuzzis within the resort and two intimate
Jacuzzis situated in the romantic perfumed gardens.
Excursions
Couples offers guests the opportunity to explore Jamaica and
make new friends on a tour of Prospect Plantation, or walking
up the spectacular Dunn's River Falls and on an evening Catamaran
cruise.
Additional facilities
Complimentary internet and email access is available for all
guests including the introduction of wireless technology. A
wide menu of beauty, spa and massage treatment is available
at extra cost plus shopping at the on-site boutique and duty
free gift shop.
Free weddings
Should you decide to get married at Couples, we will arrange
your wedding free of charge*. This service includes the Minister,
decorated location of your choice, flowers for the bride and
groom, two-tier wedding cake and Champagne. In addition, wedding
and honeymoon guests will also receive a complimentary half
hour massage.
* Please note that there is a charge of US$200 for your marriage
