3* Paradise Island Harbour Resort

Starting 60 miles off the coast of South Florida and stretching as far south as Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic, The Bahamas has over 700 islands, only 29 of which are inhabited. Paradise Island is located in the central Bahamas approximately 169 miles southeast of Miami (1 hour by airplane). It stretches along the northern shore of New Providence Island, just across the bridge and harbour from Nassau, the historic downtown Capital of The Bahamas. The Paradise Island Harbour Resort is located 13 miles from Nassau International Airport.

Many of the stylishly appointed direct water view Harbour-view guestrooms feature a sun-warmed private balcony with seating area and a spectacular view of the beautiful Nassau Harbour and the inlet to the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the fresh salt-air breeze and the relaxing sites of millionaire motor yachts and sailboats passing by.

  

 

 

Paradise Island's newest renovated rooms feature Air-Conditioning, 25" Satellite TV (50+ Channels), pay per view movies & in-room Nintendo video games, refrigerator, in-room coffee maker with coffee and tea stocked daily, alarm clock radios, hair dryers, iron & boards, electronic personal safe, two dual line phones with speaker, data ports and voice mail.

There is also a state of the art fitness centre, two tennis courts with scheduled lessons with our tennis pro, complimentary resort course scuba lessons, laze by the inviting oversized pool, private harbour-side beach & snorkelling Lagoon surrounded by the private boardwalk and nearby boat dock.

All rooms and suites are newly renovated and include activity desk featuring dual-line speaker phones with data-ports for internet connection and voice mail, electronic safes, refrigerator, a 25" colour TV with cable and pay-per-view movies & Nintendo video games; iron and board, hair dryer and coffee maker.


For activities there's windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling, kayaks, jet-ski, banana boat rides, water-skiing (all with instruction & fee), Scuba diving lessons in swimming pool (resort course, only available at no charge from the on premises Bahamas Diver's outlet store), two tennis courts (with free instruction), basketball, scooters for rent, beach volleyball, tetherball, jogging trail. Golf is available at the Cable Beach Golf Course, $55 green fee, $50 cart fee & $120 for the 18-hole golf course. Private enclosed Harbour side lagoon and sand beach. Walk Paradise Island's only boardwalk, feed colourful fish with the children. Sunbathe by the new 300,000-gallon freshwater free-form pool including children play pool area. Test the oversized heated poolside Jacuzzi. Relax and enjoy a poolside massage. Pool volleyball and basketball available seasonally.

The Island Stop Kid's Club is open daily from 9am to 5pm and is organised to accommodate children of all ages. Although geared for ages 4 to 12, teenagers too will enjoy the numerous educational adventures, arts and crafts. Learn the culture and language of the island or explore and hunt along the shore or boardwalk. Treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, beach games, board games, movies and pool activities are just a few of the many things your child will enjoy throughout their colourful island days.
