September 2009 - staying at SOL NESSEBAR PALACE
Our holiday was last 2 weeks in September. (original hotel Nessebar Mare)We got a `phone call a couple of days before departure to advise the Mare was closing early for the season during our stay...we were upgraded to the Nessebar Palace for the full holiday.
We had no delays on the outward journey,we had arranged to be picked up at the airport by Motoroads taxis..No problems. As we arrived
at the hotel very late at night the dining room had been left with bread, cold meats, cheese etc for us to have a snack...very welcome.
Our room was HUGE ! with the biggest bed I think I`ve ever seen
plus an offshoot room with 2 single beds! Breakfast was from 7am-10am with everything from toast/cereals/fruit/salads/to almost the possibilty of
making up a mid-day meal. (Which we never had as we were out & about and probably could`nt have eaten anyway after the breakfast we ate!
The hotel had lots of facilities, indoor & outdoor pools, etc. The only
downside was the hotels stand alone and to get anywhere we got taxis or went on organised trips(my partner can`t walk too far)....BUT we chose the hotel (the Mare is next door) so NO FAULT of the hotel, which was very clean and the staff were very good. We ventured out on the local buses which can save a lot of money. We loved old Nessebar and much to our surprise Sunny Beach (We imagined it would be high season Blackpool on steroids) If we go back we would try to stay in Old Nessebar or Sunny Beach (due to my partners walking problems) BUT probably in September again. All in all a very good holiday and very well organised by Fleetway travel....Thankyou Geordies Maureen & Allan
