A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THE ROME HOTEL TAX
• As noted, it’s per person per night – so if you staying for 3 nts, in a 4 Star hotel , you will need to pay to the hotel €18 for 2 people etc..
• There is a maximum number of days visitors can be taxed. For campsites, it’s a maximum of 5 days, and for all other accommodation options listed above it’s a maximum of 10 days.
• Children under the age of two are exempt.
• This new tax is in addition to the VAT which is already included on hotels and other accommodation rates throughout Italy.

In the centre of Rome lies Vatican City, the smallest nation in the world.
