Cheap City Breaks to Valencia

Valencia, ideally located in the middle of the Spanish coastline, on a backdrop of mountains. Valencia has the best of both worlds – venture through the cities vast array of architecture and culture then sit back and relax on the lengthy, sandy beaches of Las Arenas or Malyarosa. Enjoy the cities unofficial cocktail of Agua de Valencia at the rustic beach bar hubs. It's not only drinks Valencia thrives upon. This lively Spanish city is the home of the well known dish - Paella.
Thanks to the surrounding rice fields you can enjoy this delicacy in the tranquil outdoor restaurants amid the beautiful temperatures of this city. Donuts dipped into chocolate are also a delicacy of this region. With a Mediterranean climate this city is enjoyable all year-round. At a very pleasant 26 degrees Celsius in August and 12 degrees Celsius in January.

Venturing around this city, founded by the Romans be sure to visit the bell tower at the top of the cities Cathedral, here you can take in fantastic views of the city. The cathedral is an amazing picture of the cities history, showing off architecture from the Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance periods. It is even thought that the Holy Grail is housed in its museum. The town hall at the heart of the old town is also a must visit – with two museums within it’s a gem. In the centre of the old town many of the old buildings have been converted into a wealth of boutiques, restaurants, bars and galleries. The Park of the Old River bed is one of the best places to relax. South East of the city centre lies the Turia Gardens, boasting more museums, a planetarium and even an IMAX cinema! Your holiday in Valencia should definitely absorb some of the cities lively, welcoming nightlife. With bars and restaurants only getting busy at around 10pm! The places with the best nightclubs are those of Canovas and Juan Llorens.

If visiting Valencia during the spring and summer months look out for festivals. Las Fallas in March is local festival, showing off the cities ceramics, eye-popping new buildings and all things Valencian. The annual tomato fight in August is also very popular. But whatever time you chose to visit this enchanting city it’s always welcoming. A great place for last minute deals as well as cheap holidays and city breaks.
