Vienna is the capital of Austria, located in the north west of the country and enjoying a continental climate. This beautiful city of museums, galleries and celebrated architecture is the place to be. Kunsthistorischen Museum has the largest collection in the world of Bruegel paintings. Gustav Klimt attended the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts. Many of the public buildings in Vienna feature his art created by him and his brother Ernst Klimt. More klimt paintings can be found in the Austrian Gallery within the amazing Baroque Belevedere Palace. You won’t be at any risk of boredom in Vienna as the city has a reputation of having more museums and galleries than you could ever need. If its modern art your more into, the museum of modern art is one of the countries favoured cultural venues.

From a country of music Vienna offers more than you would even expect, whilst on holiday in the city why not try and see the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra or the Vienna boy’s choir. Or just meander around the soulful streets that Strauss, Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn once did.
The Schloss Schonbrunn is in Vienna, this is the former imperial residence, complete with its own zoo, luxurious gardens, glorious monuments and the palace itself this is a fascinating day out.
Being on holiday in Vienna means you have to take up the invite to dine in the rustic coffee houses, traditional wine taverns and the fabulous traditional and modern restaurants which all stand side by side in this old city.
