About the Hotel
The Barceló Santiago Hotel is situated in the most beautiful natural setting in the southwest of Tenerife, commanding impressive views over the island of La Gomera island and Los Gigantes cliffs. This attractive hotel, with its unique architecture and recent refurbishment, sea views and direct access to a beach only 200 metres away, offers a wide range of amenities to ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests.
The hotel has 405 rooms, each with a terrace or balcony offering spectacular views of the sea and Mount Teide, a fully equipped bathroom, air conditioning, safety deposit box (payable locally), hair dryer, mini bar, satellite LCD TV, and telephone.
The hotel is situated in the western part of the island of Tenerife, 45 km from Tenerife South airport, 113 km from Tenerife North airport and just 1 km from La Arena and Los Gigantes beaches.

- The Barcelo Santiago offers a wide range of dining options. All meals are served in the main buffet restaurant with its wonderful views to the ocean and neighbouring islands, serving international cuisine with show cooking. The hotel also boasts two speciality restaurants including “The Grill” specialising in meats, and “La Tasca” with a wide range of Spanish Tapas (smoking bar). Poolside drinks and snacks are available throughout the day at the pool bar, whilst in the evening guests can choose from the lobby bar or Show Bar with nightly entertainment.
- The surrounding area of the hotel is excellent for surfing, fishing and scuba diving. Within the hotel itself there are three outdoor freshwater swimming pools (2 heated in winter), and a children’s splash pool. In addition to the new Spa Center guests can enjoy tennis courts (payable locally), Gym (free), pool tables (payable locally), and a wide range of activities including aerobics, table tennis, shuffle board, French bowls, water aerobics, dance classes, and rifle shooting. There is also a mini club (ages 4 – 12) to help keep the little ones occupied.
- The hotel offers its guests a new SPA center with professional service and the latest technology to assist in the ultimate in relaxation. Enjoy the thermal circuit (payable locally) with its Turkish bath, sauna, sensitive spaces, thermal pools and Jacuzzi, or indulge in one of the signature treatments (payable locally) like chocotheraphy massage!
