September 2009 - staying at APTS LUCCHINI

Fantastic holiday! Appartment situated just the right distance out of the town to avoid the bustle of the Place de la Republique but to be able to bob down (and lurch back!) to get a few glasses of wine in the evening.
Clean and tidy on arrival, good facilities -excellent welcome pack! - and fabulous balcony to catch the sunsets and enjoy a bbq on. Must visit - Bonnafacio, Col de Bavella and Corte (although we drove for 3 hours to enjoy the mountain views from the Corte train - only to find the trains were cancelled and there was a bus replacement service!But a day in Corte is still a day well spent) Would recommend this destination to travellers of all ages - just make sure you hire a car and get out and experience as much of the island as possible!

August 2009 - staying at 2*HOTEL CYRNEA 2

Calvi is a beautiful holiday location but very expnsive. The staff at Hotel Cyrnea were delightful with the owner's son speaking excellent English. Basic but clean accomodation. Would stay there again.

August 2009 - staying at LE HOME APARTMENTS

We were delighted with our apartment. It was a good size, very clean and stocked with some basic essentials such as tea, coffee, milk etc to get us started. In addition the air conditioning worked very well - very important given the high temperatures. It also had a very large balcony with a view of the pool, the wonderful gardens and the mountains. The setting was beautiful and we also had a choice of three pools. We usually managed to find shade at the pools but parasols would have been appreciated. Good location as well, near the beach and not too far from the centre of Calvi. Finally we had good service from the rep. Sarah. Overall, I would definitely recommend these apartments.
