Holidays to Havana

Havana, the capital of Cuba is filled with delights. Definitely worthy of leaving a lasting impression. This confident Caribbean city filled with colour and culture boasts an array of museums. Be sure to find one of the many old 1950s American cars around town too. The cigar and rum factories are well worth a visit as well as the museum of the fine arts and the Museo De la Revolucian. Get around on the Viazul Bus – very green, easy and cheap too! Or even a bicycle- as many of the Cubans do.

The old town of Habana Vieja is world renowned and UNESCO protected. Bulging with attractive squares, old mansions, churches, palaces, monuments, fortresses and all thing colonial! Make sure you visit Castillo de la Real Fuerza, Cubas oldest building, as well as admiring the Spanish colonial memories, many still lived in! The charming street of Calle Obispo is filled with old fashioned boutiques and quaint cafes. Havana is definitely the liveliest place on the island, filled with exciting salsa bars, clubs, and restaurants. La Bodeguita del Medio and El Florita are two of the best and even favourites of Hemingway.

When the culture has got the better of you the best beach in the city is Playa del Este, at 7 miles long with plenty of life this beach oozes character. The Montemar National Park is also very picturesque, make a trip whilst on your holiday in Havana…If you have time that is.
