November 2011 - staying at 4*SANDY BEACH HOTEL
Everything was organised well, the hotel was clean, food was good and the maids were excellent. The flights were very good, food was reasonable (for flight meals)on the aeroplane.November 2011 - staying at SANDY BEACH HOTEL
The travel arrangements made by Fleetway were excellent. Sandy Beach Hotel was a very good hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well appointed. The food was good and the staff very friendly. The facilities excellent. The main complaint would be that the "hot" water was, never at any time during our stay, actually hot! In fact it was barely above lukewarm. Information about the hotel was very scarce. Nowhere could we find any information about it's facilities. No information as to the times and restaurants used for meals. No information as to where gym, sauna and indoor pool were. Just a simple information sheet within every room would have been helpful. Having to ask staff for information was a chore. Meals were excellent but, again, a simple menu in front of each food container would have been helpful. As I am allergic to seafood I had to ask at each meal. Anything bought was very overpriced. Two orange juices in the dining room were £10! A bit over the top. An hour on the internet cost £3! Also a bit expensive. Any 4* hotel I've have used has always provided internet free of charge.Apart from these minor observations the hotel was excellent but, unless the hot water was attended to, I would be r4eluctant to use it again.

+ Really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the reception/swimming pool area is done up to a very nice standard, especially liked the comfy mattresses by the pool.- The room was slightly dated, and only a few other minor areas needed improving, but otherwise an enjoyable stay.
October 2011 - staying at STAMATIA HOTEL
nice hotel good location, all inclusive food could have been better but must say as week went on it did get better,Rooms very clean, staff good but the guests were mainly russianOctober 2011 - staying at AVLIDA HOTEL
We had an amazing holiday - the food was good - the drink was great and the staff were the friendliest I have ever metOctober 2011 - staying at 4*
Great hotel. Staff constantly working on the grounds and beach keeping them clean and tidy. Room was good with a sea view. Food, B&B, was very comprehensive to suit all tastesSeptember 2011 - staying at 3* CROWN RESORT HENIPA
I am very happy as I was greated by the hotel on arrival to a upgraded bungalow pool view. Very nice very clean very big bungalow. Service excellent and I will visit again like I have been for 6 yearsSeptember 2011 - staying at CROWN RESORTS HENIPA
Larnaca was a very nice resort, the hotel was classed as 3star but i think it was more a 2star. The flight out on Monarch was dreadful because the seats are just not wide enough, i am not a very large person and found it really a squease, but the return flight with cy airlines was fantastic in every area.August 2011 - staying at KOKKINOS HOTEL APARTMENTS
It is a centrally located hotel so it has main strip central location noise well into the early hours. It is very clean in the communal areas but I thought the room was grubby in places. Kitchen was clean, you get a toaster and travel kettle and a few utensils to get by, you get the basics. The bathroom works as a bathroom but they are dated and stained although clean but dont get excited about it, they could do with an update. The water runs orangey browny on a few occasions and sometimes you have to run the taps for a rather long time before it clears. Id stay there again but I would want to pay less for the privilidge as I am fairly confident there are cheaper and tidier places to stay but perhaps not as close to fig tree bay which was a 3minute walk. It has ramp access and 24hr reception, trustworthy cleaning staff and everyone was friendly.By the star rating guide that I looked at I would give the Kokkinos a 2* but I believe it has 3* so on star rating alone I expected a little better but I was happy enough. I wanted a last minute cheap holiday with the freedom of self catering in a central location, I think perhaps I paid more for the location than the services on a self catering basis.
In a nut shell it was clean but dated and in places the age of the items make them look grubby in the room I stayed in
2 towels were provided, but on the 1st towel change only 1 left in it's place. i got a bathmat half way through my second week, and those tiled floors are lethal slippery when you just get out the shower. The bed was made the bedroom was spotlessly clean and the bed comfy enough
The aircon for a fortnight is 65euros electric fans are available to hire also. The safe was 35euro with 3euro returnable deposit.
Is the Kokkinos for you? If your holiday accomodation is a place to safely store your belongings get a shower and a bed and you like it near to the beach and shops and can live with noise then this would probably suit you just fine. My room was on the front of the hotel so I had street noise, bar & music noise, revellers and bin collection Yawn! A room overlooking the swimming pool would likely be quieter.
To describe this hotel I would use words like fine, ok, functional, acceptable, good but I wouldn't use words like fabulous, excellent, superb
