October 2011 - staying at ODESSA HOTEL
Excellant hotel, lots of variety with the food, only down side was lack of entertainment at night in the hotel unless you like quizes.September 2011 - staying at CROWN RESORT ELAMARIS
This was a basic good, very clean hotel. The room service was everyday and did a thorough job. The prices if your not all inclusive were quite expensive for drinks around the pool and snacks though. All in all a good, clean hotel.we would stay here again. :)
October 2011 - staying at SENTIDO KOUZALIS BEACH HO
Well !! This hotel is fantastic . NO KIDS is definately a bonus , great food , great drinks , great staff and fabulous location . BUT ........ BEWARE ........We arrived at the hotel late on a friday evening , only to be told that there was a problem with bookings and that we had to go to another hotel ! We were livid when they said it was only for 3 nights !!!! We made it very blatantly clear that we would not be staying elsewhere . To our disgust we had to go to another hotel and where asured it was for only one night . When we arrived at the alternative hotel it was late we had not eaten or drunk anything since late afternoon and told that we were on bed and breakfast only and not entitled to food or drink unless we paid for it so at 11.20 at night we had the Kouzalis sort this out as we had booked all inclusive . The next day we eventually got to our room in the correct hotel for 12.30pm. Other guests had told us that another holliday company had turned up after we had left in a coach and guests were all allocated rooms and fed and watered strait away!!! Im sure Fleetway will look into this and make sure it doesnt happen to any of its customers again . Appart from this we had a fantastic holiday although it was a day shorter than it should have been !
October 2011 - staying at CRYSTAL SPRINGS BEACH
Thanks Fleetway. My girlfriend and i really enjoyed our holiday! All arrangements were made & mailed to us 10 days prior to take-off. No problems at all until we reached the hotel where for some reason there had been several rooms double booked, 'a computer problem' we were told. After 2 days, when we finally got into the room we had booked & paid for, it was lovely, clean & modern with a nice view over the pool and out to sea. Shame about our first 2 nights in the bog-standard appartments over the road!
Weather was smashing, around 30 degrees (though it didn't feel too uncomfortable due to the light sea breezes over most of the island).
Food & drinks were well above average for a 4* all inclusive. Gardens were lush and colourful. Private beach was very nice and secluded, although a council man came around to take a toll of 2.50 each for sunbeds & parasols - we weren't aware until we were confronted.
All in all, after a safe trip home, we longed to be back there and would definitely consider 2 weeks in Cyprus next time, booking with Fleetway Travel. We'd even consider going back to the Crystal Springs because it was so pleasant (after the beginning bit!).
Kind Regards,
Rich & Jo
September 2011 - staying at CRYSTAL SPRINGS BEACH HOT
Had a great Holiday. Location and setting was perfect for us. The Hotel and its staff were superb. Thanks FleetwayOctober 2011 - staying at SILVER SANDS HOTEL
This hotel is amazing, we had a balcony sea view room and it was outstanding. The rooms have been modernly decorated and are really nice. We stayed b&b so cant really comment on the food however the breakfast was of good standard ther was plenty to choose from. The pool was the best the sunbeds were lovely very relaxing. The staff are very pleasant. Access to the beach is on the doorstep and ther is loads to do i would personally reccommend the parasailing. Booking this holiday was very straight forward and quality for money with fleetway. 10/10 rating for this holidaySeptember 2011 - staying at CRYSTAL SPRINGS BEACH
The hotel is clean but it needs a facelift to qualify for a 4* hotel. The food was very varied for a small all inclusive hotel and the service was good. The only downside was that the hotel would not provide bottled water as part of the all inclusive package, where in our experience with 4* hotels provide local bottelled water is complimentary in the room. The hotel is a little too far from the centre to what we would have liked although the advantage of its own bay, shared with next door hotel, was lovely and not busy. The hotel guests were 90% German & Russian but the hotel's entertainment was always in english. Overall impression, a good 3* but not 4.September 2011 - staying at PASCHALIA
The flight was on time and I was allocated an extra leg room seat on request with no extra charge. On arrival at Larnaca I was met by a Cypriot lady who was most helpful and the transfer went smoothly,I wasdriven in a VW mini bus by a very friendly Cypriot driver who helped me with my luggage when I arrived at the Paschalia.
The hotel room allocated to me on arrival was of poor quality being very small and dark, the bathroom was very shabby and in need of refurbishment not to mention a really good clean.
I asked for a room change but my request could not be fulfilled until the following day, Monday, as the hotel was full. The new room was much brighter and cleaner and not so shabby in appearance with a much better view and was available as promised at 12.00.
The hotel was full, with Russian guests and as such the hotel quite clearly catered for the needs of the majority with even the signs/notices being written in Russian. The usual tourist information books etc on reception were not available in English so quite clearly the Hotel was not used to the traveller whose only language was English.
Not that I particularly wanted a hotel full of english guests, I didnt.
It wasnt until Thursday that I heard another English voice, 2 elderly ladies from Pointon who also couldnt believe that they were the only English speaking guests. The Russian guests make no attempt to smile speak or acknowledge your presence, quite odd, a smile wouldnt have gone a miss!
The hotel staff were all Eastern European some of which spoke reasonable English some did not speak at all.
If Breakfast is anything to go by I am extremely pleased that I chose B&B rather than Full Board! I had beans on toast with or without and egg on each morning as the bacon was undercooked and too fatty, the sausages were of the frankfurter style most un appetising. I dont mind eating ham and cheese and tomatoes for breakfast, having stayed in Cyprus many times over the last 20 years even having lived there, but a decent breakfast cereal would have made a nice change or some fresh fruit to add a little variety. The dining room was very much canteen style with little atmosphere.
Having booked a very last minute holiday I accept that I didnt have alot of choice so having been to Cyprus many times I was able to use my local knowledge to make full use of my week long stay but I will not be staying at the Paschalia Hotel again.
I must add that the new Bus service is amazing it runs every 15 mins mostly dead on time. A €1 ticket buys a journey of any distance or a €2 ticket allows travel all day up and til midnight taking in as many journeys as required.
I learned that the bus service can also be used to transfer to and from the airport for the same €2 or €1 if you are only going one way. Taxi drivers are not happy about this new low cost option !!
My somewhat disappointing stay at the Paschalia will not deter from visiting Cyprus again but I would suggest that maybe English holiday makers look to stay elsewhere.
I would like to finish by saying that the service given to me by Lee and other staff at Fleetway Travel was excellent and I will definately be using Fleetway in the future.
Kind regards
Julie
