April 2012 - staying at |ALADDIN BEACH|

The hotel is now beginning to look a bit shabby and the food is ok but definitely catered more for the eastern europeans and russians with copious amounts of stewed veg and beef stews which is odd in such a hot country! Thre was no fresh juice and very little fruit unless you paid for it.Some of the restaurants have now started to keep free tables for big tippers leaving the rest of us to queue which was really annoying when you can see lots of free tables in the restaurant. Most of the staff were fab though and loved the beach/pool. Annoying to have pay extra to get some nice fruit, fish, juice etc I don't blame them for asking for extra for premium spirits but it would have been nice to have had some fruit, fish, juice....! We did have a lovely time though.

January 2012 - staying at TROPITEL SAHL HASHEESH

hotel was beautiful, but the company not ready for accepting clients. On arrival there were only 25-30 guests staying in the hotel, and with the resort in its infancy, you were tied to the hotel. I spoke to Danielle Searle with regard to moving us to Makadi Bay. She was very professional with dealing with our request, and we were moved within 48 hrs. I suggest that Danielle receives some sort of merit or commendation for changing our hotel so quickly and professionally. I would also recommend that you should tell customers wishing to book the above hotel exactly at what percentage of capacity the hotel is currently running at. I guess at present it is running at below 5% capacity.

December 2011 - staying at TITANIC BEACH AQUAPARK

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very nice. The food was awful. I lived on rice all week and bread. The alcohol all tastes the same so I stuck to soft drinks and had the odd beer as the alcohol smelt like mentholated spirits. Such a let down for a beautiful hotel. Everybody said the same, nice hotel very very poor food and alcohol!!!!

November 2011 - staying at SERENITY MAKADI BEACH

The hotel has good facilities including lovely swimming pools and beach and the staff sevice is excellent.

November 2011 - staying at AZUR CITADEL HOTEL SPA

large resort out of town[thank goodness] very few visitors from uk which is great for us. staff vey friendly and helpful,
food good and drink readily available. The rooms are very nice and were cleaned to a high standard. The downsides are the distances you have to travel to get anywhere within the complex although a shuttle is going around all the time and people with walking difficulties have difficulties with all the steps as it is built on a hillside and is not really disabled friendly. we would go to this hotel again

November 2011 - staying at TIA HEIGHTS MAKADI BAY

lovely hotel, food adequate, nice position on the beach, waterpark we had to pay for (quite expensive) but guests from other countries had this as part of their package, rooms ok but you are not paying high prices so all in all a good value holiday

October 2011 - staying at TROPITEL SAHL HASHEESH

Just got back(family of 5) staff are amazing as there is still a lot to be done to finish this hotel.
No gym or spa (this was a big dissapointment as this was why i booked this hotel)
No jetty to get in or out of the sea(no sign of this being built yet waiting plan i was told)

only half the rooms are finished the rest are at 2nd fix and soft furnishing stage.(No main bulding work going on)

No italian (looking at the work that was needed my 2-3 weeks)

No midnight feast yet ?

Tiles in the bottom of the pool are already coming off (think it was rushed to get it opened) pool by bar is a bit on the cold side next 1 down is fine.
lot of work in the gardens planting grass laying.
1st week power cuts every day

The sound system and evening entertainment could do with sorting out(the stage could do with being nearer the patio. maybe by the fountains this would give a better view and a clearer sound)

free bike hire was good too (but bikes kept breaking)

if you leave the hotel and go to the left 20mins bike ride 1hrs walk theres a man made reef easy to get in and out and well worth the ride/ walk.

there was only about 50 guest when we arrived about 200 ish when we left.

would love to see it whens its finished.

If i'd of know this hotel was not finished before i'd left i'd of gone else where
can't see it being finished before april 2012

October 2011 - staying at TIA HEIGHTS MAKADI BAY

We were very impressed with the hotel, could not fault the food, cleanliness, or friendliness of the staff. However, there were some issues concerning the cleaning of the plastic glasses on a couple of occasions in the entertainment tent, where the drinks smelt of cleaning fluid and tasted pretty vile, but we did talk to the manager about this and he was looking into it. The manager is English and was very approachable and keen to know our thoughts on the hotel. We were given a complimentary voucher for one of the al a carte restaurants on arrival and decided to go to the fish restaurant which was a bit disapointing. but we paid to go to the Italian one lunchtime and it was extremely good. There were a very large number of Russians in the hotel who seem to lack the ability to say please or thank you and see no reason not to push in front of you when you are queuing but despite this we had a great holiday and would recommend this hotel to others.

October 2011 - staying at TIA

Beautiful hotel, very stylish and immaculately clean. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. Facilities good. Not many English tourists at the hotel which was reflected in the choice of food. This was the biggest let-down for us, particularly with youngsters. Also the dining tables were not always thoroughly cleaned before we sat down to eat. On more than one occasion, morsles of food and stained table clothes were left after the cutlery had been placed.
The outdoor pools were very scenic, but on our first day we could not understand why no-one, not even children were in them. When we tried them for ourselves we realised why - the water was absolutely freezing! Although one of the pools had a sign up saying 'heated pool', it wasnt. On our return we were told that at this time of year it is at the hotel manager's discretion whether to heat the pool or not. Shame he/she decided against it. Although we enjoyed our holiday we would not return to Tia Heights unless the menu incorporated english dishes. We also felt that because the choice of food for us was very limited and we ate minimally, we didnt get value for money being all inclusive.

October 2011 - staying at CALIMERA GOLDEN BEACH

Hotel was ok, hotel beach was very very windy which is fine if you're a kite surfer but uncomfortable otherwise! Hygiene from both staff and german guests was seriously lacking and we both spent 4 days in bed with stomach bugs!

Several times we had to wait well past canteen opening hours whilst the staff saw to it that their families got fed first - seemed a little backwards!
