November 2011 - staying at SOFITEL KARNAK LUXOR
Overall great hotel and experience. Great location! Only problem was we booked a double-bed and was given a twin. Hotel wouldn't accommodate a change even though 80% of the hotel was empty.
Flights were through Thomas cook - V.Poor! BEWARE - you have to pay for almost everything as an extra. All you get is the flight. Sitting together, food, transfers - all optional extras.
Luggage was delayed on the return trip too - mainly the fault of Luxor Airport so please make sure you keep all meds and important items in your hand luggage.
September 2011 - staying at MARITIM JOLIE VILLE KI

August 2011 - staying at PAVILLION WINTER LUXOR
Stayed at this hotel in 2009 and really liked it so booked again. When we arrived in Luxor we were upgraded to the Winter Palace. What a hotel!!! Our rooms were huge, the staff were brilliant and our stay there lacked nothing. It was our 12th visit to Egypt, our 40th wedding anniversay and we could not have wished for anything better. I cannot speak too highly of the care the staff took of us, from our lovely clean room to the assistance provided by the reception desk. Looking forward to our next visit.
August 2011 - staying at SOFITEL KARNAK
The Holiday was great, the Hotel we stayed at was great and overall it was great. The only downside was our rep. Khaled. He didnt turn up the first day then he was late all the time. He made promises about everything and did not deliver. We were also charged 10 pounds more for our Visa's which the rep said he would get back for us but we never saw him after his promises. Overall a great place to be at and I would use Fleetway again but I'll be more causious with the reps.
August 2011 - staying at ST JOSEPH HOTEL
St Joseph is a mid range family hotel well placed to explore the sights and restaurants of Luxor. Our rooms were comfortable and the ensuites had good showers and in general everywhere was spotlessly clean. We had Nile views and balconies which is definitely worth asking for as the view is great. There is a roof terrace with shaded areas to sit and enjoy those incredible views across the Nile over to West Bank, particularly the sunset; there is also a smallish roof top pool perfect for cooling off . But it was the friendly staff and excellent service which made our stay memorable. I would certainly tell people to visit Luxor, it is a great place to explore and soak up culture ancient and modern; plus you must visit Aswan and Abu Simbel despite the effort involved. There is certainly some hassle for business as you walk along the streets but it is good natured and you soon learn how to deal with it as generally the local people are very friendly, just use your common sense. I would certainly recommend St Joseph, there aren't chandeliers or deep pile carpet but it's comfortable and friendly-and decent breakfast!
July 2011 - staying at STEIGENBERGER NILE PALACE

July 2011 - staying at SHERATON
Fab a real good holiday and the hotel was 5 star. No problems with either flights or the transfers. Thank you
June 2011 - staying at M/S SUNRISE SEMIRAMIS 5*
Enjoyed the holiday, guide was very good. The boat was kept clean and tidy and the cabin crew was very efficient. However the quality of the food was very poor, especially the breakfast which resulted in us all returning with upset stomach.

May 2011 - staying at LOTUS HOTEL
What a great holiday-Hotel sits on the banks of the Nile with a view across to West bank where early morings you can watch the hot air balloons rising gracefully into a cloudless sky-The hotel itself is very clean and confortable-the staff are always ready to please-I am looking forward to returning in the not to distant future !!
