About the Hotel

The Lyda Beach Hotel sits directly on the seafront of the pretty resort of Gouves.

The hotel has a friendly, warm atmosphere and is an ideal budget choice for a relaxing beach holiday for families and couples alike. There are two sandy beaches directly outside the hotel as well as a large swimming pool and a children's pool in the complex itself. The Lyda Beach Hotel has its own small sandy beach in front of the main building, and there is a long sandy beach a few yards away. Both beaches are ideal for families but the longer beach is more suitable for families with younger children.

Food, drink and entertainment:
There is a pool side snack bar, a restaurant dining area with terrace, a night bar, a swim up bar, and a TV room with large wide screen TV. Occasional entertainment programme, dependent on the weather and participation (including Barbeque, Karaoke and themed nights.

Sport, games and activities:
Three large outdoor fresh water swimming pools, extensive sun terraces with sun beds and parasols free of charge, a sauna (local charge) and a Jacuzzi (local charge), arcade games, and billiards (local charge). A variety of water sports are available at the larger beach and at an extra local price.

There is a regular service of the tourist mini train to the fantastic Cretan Aquarium in the nearby village of Gournes (summer months).

For the kids:
Two separate fresh water children's pools with games and a mini club for children aged four to twelve year during July and August - supervised and operating during set times of the day.

Additional: Reception service with safe deposit box (extra local charge), foreign exchange facility, a Doctor on call service and free onsite parking. Also housekeeping and a coin operated laundry facility is available at a local charge.

Room facilities
The Lyda Beach Hotel offers Double guest rooms, one Bedroomed Apartments and Maisonettes and all feature spacious, well equipped, comfortable accommodation that can sleep from 2 to 4 guests. The decor and furnishings are classic and features include an ensuite bathroom with shower & WC, a direct dial telephone, mini fridge, TV, music channels and air-conditioning. All benefit from a daily maid service while linen and towels are changed every three days. Cots as well as highchairs are available on request and are free of charge.
