About the Hotel

The hotel is built directly on the shore, overlooks the never ending clear sea at Sissi, a small fishing village, 40 km east of Heraklion international airport. It is the nearest hotel in the area to the sandy beach 300m away and two minutes walk to the village centre and beautiful picturesque harbour where you find taverns which are built high on the port’s pier, boutiques, jewellery, bars, souvenir shops, pharmacy, church, post office, hair dresser and banking service-cash points. On the shore across from the port there is a small sandy beach for anyone who can’t resist taking a dip in the crystal clear Mediterranean, which is always calm here. All places of interest can be reached by an inexpensive regular bus service, bus stop directly outside the hotel. Malia is just 7 km away, the night life paradise for the younger generation, 2-92 years, Discos & Dancing Bars.

Accommodation

The hotel complex consists of double/twin rooms (mostly double), triple rooms and family suites (accommodating up to five persons). All rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with comfortable furniture, as well as satellite TV, international music channels, direct dial telephone (plus in-house communication), refrigerator, hair dryer, black out curtains, and bath/shower. There is also personally controlled air conditioning and safety deposit boxes available inside all rooms with an extra charge. All rooms have spacious balconies, terraces or verandas with a magnificent view on the blue sea, the mountains or the gardens.

Food & Beverage

Breakfast is served buffet style in the main restaurant. Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and choose from a variety of white and brawn bread, cookies, cakes, marmalades, honey, cereals, Greek yoghurt, cheese, ham, and eggs cooked in different ways. At noon there is a choice of Greek dishes and snacks at the pool bar. Dinner buffet offers various Greek and International dishes.

All Inclusive Food & Drinks

The AI Programme consists of breakfast (07:00 – 10:00), lunch (12:30 – 14:00) and dinner (18:30 – 21:00), all buffet style served in the main restaurant. During lunch and dinner ice-cream is offered. Lunch baskets with light food can be provided upon request the previous day instead of lunch or dinner. Snacks (sandwiches and chips) are available between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm at the pool bar. Afternoon tea (with cake and ice cream) is available from 16:00 to 17:00. Locally produced drinks - ouzo, raki, brandy, gin, vodka, rum, liquer, draught beer, house wine, draught soft drinks, coffee and tea are served between 10:30 to 23:00 at the pool bar and 18:30 and 21:00 in the restaurant.

Sports & Leisure

The Sissi Bay offers 4 outdoor swimming pools (sea water), one of each with panoramic sea view, with umbrellas and sun beds (free of charge), large grassed area with Caribbean type umbrellas (free), gardens, 2 separated children’s swimming pool with seawater, sauna (with extra charge), billiards, volleyball court, table football, garden chess. Mini golf (100m away), tennis court and water sports (with skiing, jet skiing, banana, wind surfing, pedals etc) available with charge at the nearby beach of Kalimera Kriti. The 18 hole Cretan Golf Club is 22 Km on the way to Lassithi Plateau. Folklore Cretan night with live music and with BBQ is also taking place every fortnight (with extra charge). Occasionally, other events are taking place without extra charge.

Chargeable Extras

All drinks after 23:00 are chargeable extra. Bottled water, bottled wine, bottled beer, canned drinks, juices, espresso, cappuccino, packed ice creams and special events are available at extra charge. Safety deposit boxes, air-condition, day use, internet access and wireless internet, baby-sitting, laundry service, umbrellas for the beach available at a charge as well. Sissi Bay provides a medical service - a doctor visits the hotel on the every day basis.

Useful Information on Distances

The hotel is only 2 Km far from the main high way which extends from one end of the island to the other, for access to all places of interest in Crete. In addition, there is also a bus service, twice a day, from outside the hotel to both directions (Agios Nikolaos and Heraklion). Agios Nikolaos is 20 km away, Heraklion 42 km, Knossos 44 km, Vai 119 km, Hersonissos 20 km, Malia 7 km and Elounda is 32 km away. It is only two minutes walk to the picturesque village harbour, where you find shops and facilities to meet all your needs: taverns, bars, boutiques, jewellery shops, souvenir shops, pharmacy, church, post office, hair dresser and banking service-cash points.
