About the Hotel

The La Cite Hotel is ideally situated amoungst its own private gardens and is just a short stroll to the square of Lixouri which has an excellent selection of restaurants, bars and tavernas. Local life focuses around the town square and at the nearby harbour front there is a regular ferry service across to Argostoli (the Capital of Kefalonia).

The various attractions of Lixouri are literally on the doorstep of this small and friendly hotel. The local beach is a mere 1.5km from the hotel and the red sand beach of Xi just 8km away. One of the main places of interest on the island is the Iakovatios Library and Museum of Kefalonia just 30m from the hotel. The library is inside a pre-earthquake mansion that used to belong to the Typaldi-Iakovatios family and which was restored to its former grandeur in 1984.

Please note the owner does not consider this property suitable for guests with wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties.
