October 2011 - staying at MITSIS RODOS MARIS RESORT
excellent value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!October 2011 - staying at MITSIS RODOS MARIS RESORT
had a good time hotel great staff very helpful would go againOctober 2011 - staying at SEMIRAMIS
We were dropped of at our hotel which was good, as the roads were narrow and steep. The hotel room was smaller than described on the internet. The bathroom was tiny, the shower cubicle was about two and a half foot square. The breakfast was luke warm everday and that went for the evening meal. The people who stayed bed and breakfast could pay for the evening meal. So if you went down for your meal a bit late there would be nothing left and we had to ask the waitres to top the food up. We had to wait for the food to be replaced, then we were brought a plate ful of chicken portions which were lukewarm. Otherwise the holiday was good. We had to phone up to find what time we were to be picked up on our day of departure. We were told the time and place, which was not at our hotel and had to take our cases down a steep hill which was dangerous as there wasnt any pavements. We could not understand why the coach could not come to our hotel to pick us up.October 2011 - staying at DIONYSOS HOTEL
friendly staff and lovely public areas, very clean.bedroom spacious, but advertised satellite tv contained only one english speaking channel bbc world news! no drinks making facility was a big nuisance as no room service or 24 hr lounge service. very hard, uncomfortable beds.
This was the hotels last week of the season and not all facilities available and felt like the hotel was closing down around us, staff not always attentive as we felt they were just 'counting the days'.
October 2011 - staying at 4* DIONYSOS HOTEL
A good quality hotel, kept clean and tidy by staff. Good range of food at breakfast, with restraunts comparable with local restraunts for quality and price. Ther down side no tea and coffee making facilities and the beds were solid as bricks. they do cater more for european tastes but that did not put us off.October 2011 - staying at DORETA BEACH RESORT HOTEL
Just got back from a very pleasant stay at the Doreta Beach hotel. I stayed with my wife and two young children and would recomend this hotel to others, especially anyone with young children. Here are what we thought were the good points and bad points.
THE GOOD
Big swimming pool
Quality of food
Kids club
Pouring your own beer
Bouncy castle
unlimited ice cream
right on beach
friendly staff
Lots of sun beds
Short Tranfer from airport
Plenty of activities for kids (and adults)
The BAD
Hotel looking a bit tired (thou they are doing up the rooms at the moment)
More toilets needed in the bar area.
Choice of food.
Not much outside the hotel. (5 shops, 2 bars and 8 car rental places!)
Evening entertainment (Not the best but it was fun and the children enjoyed the kids disco & face painting etc for them)
All in all a good holiday, that the kids really enjoyed making it a good relaxing holiday for us.
October 2011 - staying at BLUE BAY DELUXE COMPLEX R
Not a 5 star hotel. Definitely a good 3 star, nearly 4 star hotel. Transfers are not needed because the airport is so close. Planes come really close over the hotel so lots of noise can be heard. The food is really good and plentiful. One of the better hotels in Ialyssos. Beach is really convenient. Not quite all inclusive as lots of optional extras to be purchased.September 2011 - staying at THE IXIAN GRAND 5*
This hotel is not 5star to be honest but more of a 3-4 star. If you have booked one of the private suites with private pool then I would agree that you are treated to 5*perks like a separate dinning room with waiter service and a'la carte menu but if you have booked a ''package deal'' that's what you get! Q'ing for every meal, waiting to be lead by a restaurant manager to a table, battling at the buffet table against some of the rudest people I've ever met (sorry russia n isreal) and eating slightly warm food! I'm in Greece so I expected greek food not a large range of european food, pasta, pizza, chips, etc etc. If you order a bottle of wine with your meal make sure you drink the whole bottle as they don't like you taking the bottle out of the restaurant to drink it elsewhere and there's no facility for them to save it for you for the next time. To be honest the thing that let this hotel down is the restaurant and the food. Every 2nd Monday they have a Greek night outside by the pool. Great! It would be nice to see what you are eating as there are no light at the table, a candle would help. The hotel it's self is in a great position for the beach. The 2 pools are great, plenty of sunbeds and free towels. Drinks are dear so go up the road to the supermarket and by your water, alcohol and any food you need for lunch. And now a brief report on your room! I can not comment if you are a couple but if you are two 50+ males you have a problem! The hotel DOES NOT have any twin bedded rooms so I had to sleep on a camp bed for 2 nights before we were moved to a room with a sofa-bed. (actually both were very comfy or was it the alcohol!?) Our final room, we had to change 3 times during our 10 days stay, was really nice with a view over looking the mountains. Just be careful of the water on the floor from the shower when going to the toilet! All in all The Ixian Grand was a nice hotel and I would go again but next time only on a BnB basis as there are better places to eat than their restaurant!!!September 2011 - staying at LUCA CYPRIA FALIRAKI HOTE
Amazing holiday with Fleetway Travel ... Thanks ! ! !September 2011 - staying at NIRVANA BEACH HOTEL
if you want 5* service pay 5* prices if you want a nice typically greek hotel ( except this one has SHOWER CURTAINS gasp) try the Nirvana. Spotless hotel, well kept, nice pool, no silly sun bed antics, no queues or stupid one drink rules, decent Greek food. Some aircraft noise as its close to airport.Give it a go its clean friendly and good value for money.
