Short Breaks to the Adriatic Coast

Italy’s Adriatic coast is the coastline that runs along side the Adriatic Sea. The Adriatic Sea is a body of water that separates Italy from the Balkan countries. The Adriatic is part of the Mediterranean Sea so you can expect similar beaches to those of the Med. The entire coast line is filled with numerous fantastic holiday resorts. One of the best and most popular is Jesolo. With Roman roots this resort is enchanting, boasting history, great beaches, shops, bars, restaurants, clubs and plenty of great hotels. A trip to the lagoon islands in the area is great for peace and quiet too, check out the retreats of Murano, Burano and Torcella. Bibione is also a lively resort for those after a party with 8km of beach to relax on to!

The Grand old city of Venice is also in this region of Italy. Well worth a visit by car or ferry from one of the coasts ports. If your staying in Jesolo it is only 20km away. Verona and Lake Garda are also near the region, great days out for those Shakespeare lovers. Bari which is located in the south is a charming city with plenty to do, also well worth a visit.

The whole region stretches from the north to the south of the country. There are many resorts dotted along the coast all the way down.
