Zakopane, a town in Southern Poland – region called Malopolska, It lays in a valley between the Tetra Mountains and mountain Gubalowka Hill known as the Zakopanska Valley. The town is the county seat of the High Tatras Mountains. Zakopane is in fact the highest town in Poland – at a height of 838 metres.

Over time this charming town has grown from a small village of only a few inhabitants in the 17th century to a large health resort in the nineteenth century, when rail service to Zakopane began.
