May 2012 - staying at SANTA CATARINA
This was an excellent hotel - however if you do not like all your meals to be Portugese style cooking then this is not for you. This is a Portugese hotel catering for all european travellers often on a short day basis or passing through for touring. If you stay as I did for 7 days the service and staff are excellent, the rooms very clean and I was looked after very well as an elderley woman travelling alone. The information should be more clear that this hotel does not have a bar, cafe, or terrace seating area, garden or pool. Drinks are served with your evening meal and drinks can be taken through to the lounge area. If you are looking for 'tourist' hotel then go somewhere else. If you want to enjoy Portugal and it's people then stay here at theis very good Portugese hotel.February 2012 - staying at EDEN RESORT
the apartments in eden resort were very good, however the dishwasher took 2 days and we didnt have english tv for 4 days out of seven. It is listed as 5 star the food though fairly tasty had very little choise ans dessetrs were definately 1 star. I would recommend if you go there you need books board games and a postable dvd player with dvds. the bar is tiny and there is nowhere else to sit as it was too cold to sit outside. I would not recommend it for a an all inclusive holidayNovember 2011 - staying at BAIA GRANDE
Amazing holiday!!! The 4* hotel Baia Grande was great, bars with piano live music, pools inside and outside, sauna, jacuzzi, amazing sea views, great food really so good food at bkfast and dinners, the resort is very nice, the beach as well, transport was all good from airport to hotel, people are friendly and kind, we enjoyed a lot Portugal, Albufeira resort, Baia Grande hotel, was a very lovely and amazing holiday!November 2011 - staying at EDEN RESORT
Had a great winter break and cant thank Fleetway travel again for organising all the changes due to Portuguese strikes! The resort was equipped with everything you need however would advise you to take some entertainment as if like us you dont want to spend all night in the bar the movies etc are a little limited!!Would definitely book again with Fleetway!November 2011 - staying at GOLDEN CLUB CABANAS

November 2011 - staying at SOLAQUA APT/HOTEL
hotel and staff were nice, not much variety food wise, and same with the alcohol, i thought all inclusive was anytime, anywhere, but there was restrictions on when alcohol was served even with tea and coffeeNovember 2011 - staying at EDEN RESORT
The Eden resort was very good as regards accomodation nearly new and very spacious, beds comfy and plenty of storage. Towels and linen was changed frequently. Cleaning was adequate. The food was cooked reasonably at lunch time but not in the evening. Not very hot and not variable either. Dining room was not large enough and like a cafe with tv playing. Receptionists were helpful and plenty of info regarding trips and general info.Ryanair was fine when finally getting into plane but had a long wait at boarding gate and a rugger scrum to get a seat as no seat allocation. Plus side plenty of leg room and hostesses were helpful. Transfers went smoothly especially as airport had no roof in part (blown off). Coach was very comfy and plenty of leg room.
On the whole holiday went well. We used public transport several days to faro lagos and quarteira and they were punctual, reasonable price, and comfy seats. Weather was the worst we have experienced on the Algave as there was some heavy rain and dull weather but warm. Albufeira is very pleasant with pedestrian areas but restuarants harassed you to eat there.
The worst thing was seeing two people b.i.d. from a drowning accident at Lagos which was sad for they were on holiday trip.
