Cascais, on the Estoril Coast of Portugal, is a picturesque little town and an ideal retreat for holiday makers looking for somewhere beautiful and welcoming to relax. Pretty whitewashed houses, charming cafes and restaurants line tiny cobbled lanes full of colourful flowers in this attractive fishing port, which is now one of Portugal’s top tourist destinations.

There are also a number of very grand old palaces and villas in Cascais. Portugal royalty, members of the aristocracy, and senior politicians all stayed in these properties at one time, but today most tourists choose more modern accommodation in Cascais.

Weather in Cascais, Portugal

Cascais is warm between May and September with temperatures reaching 27c in the height of summer. The sea breeze makes for a more comfortable climate, and during Spring and Autumn the weather is usually very pleasant, but with a slight risk of rain.
