Hotel Metropole Lisbon is another boutique hotel, situated on Lisbon’s main square facing the castle of St George. The hotel was recently renovated, furnished in 1920s style, but has modern fittings and facilities. Its 36 rooms all have private bath or shower, hair dryer, air conditioning, and thermostatic heating. The rooms facing the Rossio district overlook the National Theatre, the old Alfama district, and the Castle of St George.

The Lapa Palace, Lisbon, is a truly luxurious hotel, perched on a hilltop above the city. You can stay in complete privacy at ‘Villa Lapa’, which has its own private garden, enjoy authentic Portuguese art deco in the ‘Palace Wing’ of the hotel, or overlook the hotel’s beautiful gardens in the ‘Garden Wing’.
