About the Hotel

The link between Marbella and the Hotel Los Monteros goes back a long way. When the hotel opened its doors, back in 1962, it was the first five-star abode in the region, and one of the earliest glamour spots to which the jet set of the day was drawn. In those heady days of actors, pop stars, sheiks, princes, artists and bohemian wanderers, the Hotel Los Monteros became a Marbella institution, adding greatly to the town’s reputation as a trendy resort. Los Monteros has become a classic; now one of many luxury five-star hotels on the Costa del Sol, indeed, but one with a sense of belonging, style and tradition that only 40 years of uninterrupted five-star style and service could provide. Situated just east of Marbella, it enjoys a happy confluence of facilities, surrounded by one of the largest concentrations of golf courses on the Costa del Sol, with quick access to Marbella and Puerto Banús, and endowed with a beach club that fronts a superb stretch of beach which enjoys pretty much unequalled views across the Bay of Marbella. Indeed, both the La Câbane beach club and the hotel itself offer a place in which to enjoy the kind of lifestyle one would normally associate with Monte Carlo or Acapulco.

Beautiful gardens and lawns provide an oasis of peace and colour, as they wind their way around a lake and swimming pools where guests lounge or enjoy the outdoor barbecues organized by the hotel in summer. At night, the setting is transformed into an elegant al fresco dining venue, often accompanied by live music.

The Los Monteros Hotel, Marbella has a total of 182 guest rooms including 2 Spa Suites, 8 Full Suites, 135 Junior Suites and 33 Classic Rooms all refurbished during 2002-2003. All suites and rooms feature private balconies and views to the gardens, Marbella or partial views to the Mediterranean Sea.
