Cheap City Breaks to Geneva
Geneva, set on Lake Geneva, is Switzerland’s second largest city. This greatly historical city with strong international connections – a third of the population is not native to the city, is well worth a trip. Geneva is famous for its shops – in particular fabulous speciality watch shops. Or if you would rather look and not buy a visit to the watch and clock museums must be had. The city is bursting with museums, cultural events and fine bars and restaurants. These can all be easily found whilst meandering along the cobbled streets of the old town, when the bustle becomes too much for you take a pit stop on the banks of Lake Geneva. Here you can see the Jet d’Eau in full view, one of the largest fountains in the world where Lake Geneva merges with the River Rhone. Reaching an altitude of 140 metres this lit up fountain is spectacular!
