Had an excelent holiday at the Orchid Hotel & Spa, Kalim Bay, Patong.
The hotel lived up to our expectations for a 3\3.5 star hotel & in fact in many ways exceeded that rating. The hotel owner & staff were all very friendly & polite at all times making the 14 night stay all the more memorable & pleasureable.
The beach across the road from the hotel is quite nice but the nearest sandy beach is only a 15 minute walk away & we spent a long time on this beach.
I would recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Patong.

March 2011 - staying at BAAN KARON RESORT

This was a perfect location for both Kata and Karon!! staff were fantastic except for the cleaner for our room .. she was actually quite rude on a number of occasions. The restaurant was ok and well priced. There was a little super market next door. Beach towels were provided +++. The mini bar was really cheap and well stocked every day. All rooms were air con'd and a very good size. We would have paid a little extra for a poolside room but only for convenience. Downside some rooms overlook the main road.. but we didnt get one of those.

Amazing, everything was perfect. Special mention for the hotel staff, really great customer service. The hotel is great and the fact that you can use the adjacent Cape Panwa is a great bonus.

Excellent customer service the company delivered every part of the holiday as promised all tranfers went smoothly the hotel was sound!Welldone to the agent (David) for setting this up. Had a great time. Thanks would recommend people to use them I certainly will be. Thanks again

No complaints at all. Clean and efficient and the staff were as nice as can be. Even gave me a beautiful birthday cake! Would return without hesitation.

Hotel was ok, not 4* though as you have specified....Location wasn't too good, no clubs and bars, not as I have been told. It's more for old people to relax.

August 2010 - staying at CENTARA KARON RESORT

My Wife and I had not visited Thailand before and had no preconceptions about the country or the Hotel. I had looked on tripadviser at reviews for the hotel. What a hotel!! We stayed on a b&b basis in a cabana with a private jacuzzi and absolutely loved it. The staff were faultlessly friendly and the fantastic breakfast was brought to our cabana every morning. I only had one minor complaint and that was that we had been given a voucher for the Hotel restaurant. The meal was not great and the chicken was so tough i could not finish it. But hey you're in Thailand and when you can have a 3 course delicious meal out with drinks for £7.00 the hotel food doesnt matter if youre b&b only. Can't wait to go back

August 2010 - staying at KANTARY BAY HOTEL

We stayed at the Kantary Bay hotel for our honeymoon at the beginning of August.
The room was lovely and spacious, with a balcony overlooking the cape.
The staff had decorated our bed with rose petals and made us a 'honeymoon' cake!
The room was clean, and a maid came everyday and provided clean towels, bottled water, shampoo etc.
All the hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.
The Kantary bay is situated a little way out of the busiest parts of Phuket, so you have to get taxis to most places, there are some lovely restaurants nearby- The Sea Breeze, The hill- top restaurant were our favourites, and a couple of bars- Sunset bar was very friendly, but not a great deal, so not the place to stay if you want a busy nightlife!
Also the hotel provide a free shuttle bus service upto the Cape Panwa hotel, which runs every 10 mins, and you can use their facilities and private beach for free.
The hotel had a great rooftop pool and jacuzzi, which never got busy, and had amazing views of the nearby Coral island, and good sunsets.
Would definatley stay here again!

January 2010 - staying at ANDAMAN CANNACIA RESORT

Fabulous holiday. We had a month in the Honeymoon Suite (room 314), fantastic views, jacuzzi on the balcony, huge room. Overall the hotel was excellent and the staff were freindly and efficient. However the hotel is located a little way from the beach up a very steep hill. Shuttle services are provided but to get the best from your holiday when staying at this hotel you should rent a scooter or a car. We had a car for the whole period (£15.00 a day). Transport is a real benefit if you want to see the best of Phuket especially if you want to find those exclusive beaches tucked away in the jungle. One negative for the hotel, the drinks prices are way over the top and food is not very exciting but breakfasts are pretty good. In summary, I would recommend the hotel but not if you are elderly or infirm. It's location has the benefit of being a little cooler than some other locations, stay there but dont eat or drink there.
