Travel Opinions

Harmony Saigon Hotel & Spa - "Super nice hotel, awesome spa"

The staff greeted us with smiles and were very welcoming. Our room could have been a little nicer location as it didn't have much natural day light and if it is something that matters to you make sure you ask for a room with a view or a window. I did not ask for a room change so that's on me not the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had good amenities. The SPA was so nice, we had wonderful massages and the prices were fantastic. We would stay here again but I would upgrade our room the next time.

Hoi An Silk Village Resort & Spa - "Silk Village is amazing"

Our family of four had the most wonderful time at the Silk Village Resort in Hoi An. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful...always making excellent recommendations for activities on and off the property. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the multi course Catch of the Day! The pool is beautiful and we even got to check out the newest addition to the resort...another, larger pool that is equally amazing. Special thanks to My, Vi and Ahn

Calypso Premier Hanoi - "Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Old Quarter Hanoi"

Absolutely loved our stay in this hotel! The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious with a great shower and fridge and an electric kettle. Personal touches are very thoughtful and appreciated. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Lee and Johnny helped us to organize our excursions to Sapa and Halong Bay.

A country that has defiantly stood against empires for thousands of years, Vietnam has emerged from past centuries as a modern state where old traditions are very much kept alive in both the blossoming cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as in the villages and towns along the Tonkin Bay.

A place where the mighty Mekong River flows into the sea, where the great Ho Chi Minh City remains constantly awake, and where the gigantic network of the Cu Chi tunnels run underground as a stark reminder of the resilience and ingenuity of the Viet Cong during the war, your journey in Vietnam starts in the capital of Saigon. In Ho Chi Minh City visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the opera house, or tuck into a delicious portion of pho or a banh mi sandwich, before maybe going on a boat tour to explore the Mekong Delta.

An ancient town full of character and atmosphere, Hoi An was once a major port in Vietnam, vital to the country’s trade. You can still see its significance through grandiose architecture and a beautifully quaint riverside setting, which is almost completely free from the distracting buzz of nearby traffic. Culture drips out of Hoi An’s every pore, but essential spots to tick off are undoubtedly Tan Ky House, the Japanese Covered Bridge, and Hoi An Old Town.
While in the north, pay a visit to the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi. Here old pagodas stand next to beautiful French-colonial buildings, interspersed with modern architecture, and visitors will find a city of friendly locals and full of interesting sites. Visit the Vietnamese Women’s Museum for an alternative perspective on the nation’s history, see the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Mausoleum, where the freedom fighter and first president of Vietnam is buried, before heading to the Museum of Vietnamese History and the Hoa Lo Prison, which American POWs nicknamed the Hanoi Hilton. If after this heavy dose of history, you feel like escaping to something less bellicose, then catch a classic performance of water puppets or stroll along the banks of the tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake.

Vietnam is a delightful and friendly myriad of sights and you’ll never to find yourself short of things to do here.
