Lapland Hotel Ounasvaara
Found right next to the Ounasvaara Winter Sports Centre, the Lapland Hotel Ounasvaara is a gorgeous Finnish hotel that offers a restaurant, roof terrace and gorgeous views over Rovaniemi city. Sky Kitchen & View offers a beautiful environment for guests to take in a traditional meal or a cocktail or two. The hotel offers direct access to ski tracks and pretty walking trails, giving guests the opportunity to escape into nature and even pick blueberries in the forest. Guests can enjoy the midnight sun from the terrace in summer and if they’re lucky, spot the Northern Lights in winter. Your stay will be in a spacious Standard Chalet with two twin beds, complimentary Wi-Fi, a selection of hot drinks and a flat-screen TV. Daily breakfast will be provided during your stay.
Arctic Snow Hotel
The unique Arctic Snow Hotel offers rooms made of ice and snow, as well as rooms styled as igloos, for an authentic Lapland experience. Onsite facilities include a snow sauna, ice bar and three lakeside restaurants serving up both local and international fare, with particularly great options for seafood. Ice fishing, ice sculpting and snowshoeing are three available pastimes for guests staying to help you really get into the Lappish way of life. Your stay here includes one night in a Glass Igloo and one in a Standard Room in the SnowHotel. The Glass Igloo are warm and comfortable room types which allow you to watch the night sky as you sleep – all the better if you’re lucky enough to see the Northern Lights. You’ll have an en-suite, adjustable twin beds and a specialised alarm ready to wake you up if aurora borealis decides to show up. Your second night is in the SnowHotel, which has furniture made out of ice and a unique design in each room. Rooms unsurprisingly reach temperatures between 0C and -5C degrees – ensuring you’re in for a truly unique night’s sleep.
Friday – Guests will be transferred from the airport to Lapland Hotel Ounasvaara, where they will stay in a Standard Chalet with breakfast included.
Saturday – Guests will embark on an unforgettable Lapland Safari on the back of a snowmobile as they venture into the snowy wilderness of Lapland. After the safari, guests will transfer to the Arctic Snow Hotel and stay in a Glass Igloo, offering guests a chance to watch the night sky as they sleep.
Sunday – After an included breakfast, guests will have the rest of the day to explore the local area at their own pace. The hotel offers opportunities to go ice fishing, ice sculpting and snowshoeing (additional fees may apply), though exploring the local area is also an option. Guests will then move into the SnowHotel for one night as they sleep in a room made entirely out of snow and ice.
Monday – After an included breakfast, guests will be taken to the airport for their departure flight.
