Surrounded by wide open gardens and situated in a peaceful part of the city, the 4-star Abba Garden Hotel is a spacious establishment in the north of beautiful Barcelona. Rising majestically over its surroundings, the hotel provides panoramic views of the city from many of its 138 rooms. These same panoramic views can also be witnessed from the rooftop terrace. The hotel features a beautiful garden area which is perfect for relaxation, while the Jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna are also great places to get that same serene feeling.
Abba Garden also has a gym and outdoor pool for those wanting to keep up with their exercise. The hotel’s Amalur Restaurant serves buffet and á la carte options alongside their coffee and snack bar, which all feature a mixture of Catalan and international dishes. There is a children’s playground for the little ones to explore and FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou is just three kilometres away for a nearby day trip. Well connected to the rest of the city as well, it’s easy to explore the main sights and wider reaches of this fantastic metropolis thanks to the convenient metro system.
Barcelona, the colourful capital of Catalonia, is a city where sport, history and culture course through its veins. A city where every building appears like a piece of art, where every open space is a canvas and where passion is painted in the red and yellow stripes of the regional flag. Artists have thrived in the city for centuries, and its most famous son is undoubtedly Antoni Gaudi. Next to the restaurants and tapas bars of La Rambla, you’ll find the first of Gaudi’s masterpieces. The Palau Güell rises majestically from a rather non-descript street with its palatial splendour. Heading further north you’ll come to two of Gaudi’s most famous buildings, Casa Batlló, with its surreal façade of egg-shaped windows, and the truly magnificent, albeit still unfinished, Sagrada Familia. With its steep spires, gargoyles and sheer size, this Catalan jewel is guaranteed to take your breath away. Away from Gaudi, the city is full of castles, museums, quirky restaurants, trendy bars, theatres, churches and just generally lots of great things to see and do.
